Sant Khalsa and Mark Klett named SPE West and Southwest 2015 Honored Educators

Photo Artists Sant Khalsa and Mark Klett to be honored at the SPE West / Southwest Regional Conference in Joshua Tree

Sant Khalsa, Professor of Art, Emerita at California State University, San Bernardino and Mark Klett, Regents’ Professor of Art and Distinguished Sustainability Scholar at Arizona State University have been selected by the West and Southwest regions of the Society for Photographic Education as the 2015 Honored Educators.

Professors Khalsa and Kett have made significant contributions to the field of photography through their extraordinary careers as photo educators and artists. They will be honored at the joint regional conference being held at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center in Joshua Tree.

Each of the recipients will present a lecture on their exceptional photographic work and commitment to photographic education. Sant Khalsa’s presentation will be held on Friday, November 13 at 7:30 pm and Mark Klett will speak on Saturday, November 14 at 4:00 pm. Both talks will be held in the Sanctuary building at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center, 59700 Twentynine Palms Highway, Joshua Tree, CA 92252. The public is invited to attend the presentations. The admission fee is $15 for each talk. The Honored Educator lecturers are sponsored by Freestyle Photographic Supply and the ASU Herberger Institute of Art and Design.
